Dear Sir,–Not if they possess common sense. I have never heard a man worthy of the name admire one. My ears have heard many denunciations of the unbendable slimness and the hygienic damage consequent upon tight lacing, from the mouths of many men.
It just occurs to me that men may have been partially responsible for the introduction of the tightening process. I dare say the first tie he was allowed the liberty of arming a waist would give rise to, “What a nice little waist you’ve got,” or some similar empty sentence.
Such sentences sometimes become the texts over young maidens’ mirrors, and if a waist dares to develop beyond the measure which won the above description, it has to be submit to be squeezed in for fear of losing its reputation
It will be a sorry day for woman and for man to when he wastes admiration on a sandglass figure.
Man must tell woman he despises such screwing, and that small minds often belong to the owners of small waists.
Nature’s product is generally symmetrical. To narrow or widen, distorts and makes ugly. There will occur to mist of your readers many instances of unsuccessful attempts to improve Nature.
My opinion is that men generally do not admire small waists, but rather reserve all their admiration for the women who dare to be natural.
Yours truly,
EASE.
