Dear Sir,–May I, as a mere male be allowed to say a word on the much discussed subject of small waists?
I think I am expressing the opinion of many men when I say that I for one, am all in favour of them. Not only are they very pretty to look at, but, when dancing, it is much easier to control your partner’s movements when your right hand hold a firmly corseted back than when it encircles a more or less sloppy and unsupported figure.
On the dance floor girls should always wear firm corsets if at no other time. Whether they are comfortable or not seems to be a point of doubt; but judging from the few small waists one sees (in my case, none at all, to my great regret), there seems to be some snag in them.
Just lately I’ve been thinking that I’m putting on flesh a bit and I’m thinking of trying rubber corsets. Can any of your readers tell me just how effective rubber reducing garment are, and if they injure the health? I’ve heard many stories of their discomfort and injurious effect.
