Dear Sir,–I want to take this opportunity to tell you how much we are enjoying “London Life,” particularly the correspondence pages. Each number that reaches us is eagerly scanned for letter dealing with tight-lacing, for we have two fair devotees to the cult here, who are making regular reductions in their waists, though very gradual.
Jean, who is 19, and Margie, who is 20 years old both started to tight-lace about a year ago, and now Jean wears 18in. corsets, while Margie has just received a lovely pair of 17in. corsets from London, very long and beautifully tapered.
In six months she expects to be able to span her waist with her two little hands, which will mean at least 2in. more reduction. As her health is excellent and she is very enthusiastic we all believe she will accomplish her desire. She then plans on more drastic corset training to attain a “pipe waist” which measures the same for at least 3 to 4in above the waist-line.
She has had a great deal of information on this unique corset style from a London model who was famous for her extremely small waist nearly 25 years ago, and still has a figure which is very proud of – and happily married too.
