Dear Sir,–I have seen many interesting letters in “London Life” recently regarding the question of corsets for women, but I have seen few which discuss the question of corsets for men.
I am approaching middle age, and am inclined to suffer from rotundity. At my wife’s suggestion I determined to give corsets a trial, as it was possible they might improve my carriage and make my figure more erect.
At first I found them very irksome and restricting, but I persevered and cannot speak too highly of the results I obtained from them.
My health has improved vastly, and my appearance greatly improved and my figure, whilst not being too attenuated is graceful and gives me the appearance of a younger man.
I consider that the idea of men wearing corsets as being effeminate is a silly, pre-war, out-of-date idea,
I might add, in conclusion, that my movements as a sportsman are not at all restricted.
