Dear Sir,–A great lover of tight lacing myself, I have noticed lately, with great pleasure, signs which announce an nearly return to the wasp-waist.
This is proved by the fact that corset manufacturers refer to the new styles as “a return to the feminine curves,” also the tucked-in jumper, worn inside the skirt, is getting popular, this simply means a return to the blouse, with which a tight belt and corset are an absolute necessity. Waists are getting higher, and belts are becoming fashionable, while the “robe de style” will be a feature of this year’s frocks.
Again, the new Drury Lane play, “The Show Boat,” has a number of the old-fashioned show-ladies in it who are wearing dresses with wasp-waists.
So cheer up, girls who have been forced to hide your little waists lately, you will soon come into your own again!
Yours truly,-
“JOY CORSET.”
