Dear Sir,–From time to time I noticed letters in which the writers complain of the difficulty they experience in procuring really high heels. The advertisement you published in last week’s “London Life” should prove very useful to these readers.
Personally, I have never had the slightest trouble in purchasing either ultra high heels or the old-fashioned tiny-waisted stays. If I am unable to go town, I have self-measurement forms sent to me; and I have never had to return an article, so perfect has been the work.
Having worn the highest heels and ultra-tight corsets from girlhood, I can fully endorse the sentiments so admirably expressed by “Elsie J” in the issue of “London Life” dated November 12th, I very rarely wear heels of less than 5in. in height, and my favourite boots and shoes all have 6-in. heels. The tightest lacing necessary when wearing these tall heels.
My daughter, aged 17, has long slender feet and wears 5-in. heels easily, and for the little dances we have she daintily manages 6-in. heels. Trained from early girlhood to wear the tiniest waisted stays, she is now extremely wasp-waisted. I hope to read many more letters on this absorbing topic.
With best wishes,
E.S.
